Exciting news from iglu book club

Sauna lovers and book lovers! We are very excited to announce our August book pick for iglu book club - The Correspondent by Virginia Evans, winner of the Women's Prize for Fiction 2026. This gorgeous novel was shortlisted alongside the stunning Kingfisher, which was written by our very own book club host Rozie Kelly.

iglu book club to start in Slaithwaite in August

and... while we've been running the book club in Hebden Bridge for nearly a year, August will see our first ever book club session in Slaithwaite. The books will be the same at both sites, and the format will be the same too: wood-fired sauna, cold plunge, chatting about books with like-minded people, delicious cookies or cake, and lots of fun and magic.

The dates and times are:

• Hebden Bridge: Thursday 6 August (usually the first Thursday of every month) 7pm-8:30pm

• Slaithwaite: Thursday 13 August (usually the second Thursday of every month) 6:45pm-8:15pm

  
  

Never been to iglu book club before?

Join us to chat about the book pick of the month, relax, hang out, and enjoy the rhythm of the hot sauna & cold plunge cycle. At the end of the session, chill some more in the firepit area with a relaxing hot drink and home-made cake or a cookie. ​The session is 90 minutes long.

If you want to come but don't have time to finish the book, that's totally fine. Whether you are a dedicated book worm or just love a good chat, sauna and cold plunge, you are most welcome.

How to book

In Hebden Bridge, you can book your place for the next three sessions in one by clicking on the programmes tab on the booking page. This adds a slight discount from booking the sessions individually.

You could also book individually too. Just find the specific date you wish to book and choose the book club session on the calendar.

In Slaithwaite there is only the option to book individually but we hope to add the next sessions soon.
