We’re so excited to share more about our beautiful new home The New Delight Pub in Blackshaw Head. Whether you’re a regular or visiting for the first time, here’s everything you need to know about what to expect from iglu at our new location.
The setting
The New Delight is a delightfully Yorkshire countryside pub. It is tucked in on the hill, with a campsite, just above Hebden Bridge. Just five minutes from the stunning Jack Bridge swimming spot on the Colden River, it’s peaceful and feels like a little escape, yet still close enough to the centre of town for an easy visit.
What to expect
At the New Delight, you’ll still find the same iglu magic you know and love, cosy saunas, cold plunge pools, friendly faces, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
New aspects include:
A heated bell tent
Our much-loved fire-pit is returning
On-site parking
Hilltop views and big, open skies.
New sessions
We are very happy to be continuing our book club, salt and mud and sauna & sound sessions. We have lots of ideas in the works for new guided and themed sauna and cold plunge sessions, and we look forward to sharing these with you soon.
As always, we are also open to collaborating, do get in touch with us info@iglusauna.co.uk if you have any ideas.
How to find us
By car
We are just a 10-minute drive from central Hebden Bridge. Please follow Google Maps directions below.
By bus
Many of you have asked about whether we're going to be running a shuttle bus - well the good news is, there already (sort of) is one!
The 596 bus goes from Hebden Bridge Train Station and Hebden Bridge New Road, and our stop is called Colden Smithy Lane New Delight Inn, just after Smithy Lane. From New Road, the bus takes around 15 minutes. It runs at least once an hour Monday-Sunday.
Check the timetable here. (Click 'view all stops' to see the full schedule).
By foot
There is a beautiful 50-minute walk from Bank Foot, Hebden Bridge which we strongly recommend if you have a bit more time. It takes you through the trees and along the river, past Jack Bridge swimming spot and you end up at The New Delight.
By taxi
Taxi companies in Hebden Bridge include Valley Taxis (01422 844070) and A1 Hebden Cars (01422 845555). Uber is also available in the area.
Please see the link to Google Maps for directions.
Bookings
All existing bookings from 4 December onwards have automatically transferred to our new spot. We have now been in touch with everyone who had already booked prior to the move announcement.
Memberships
Memberships remain the same, but if you are a member and have missed any sessions due to our move, please let us know and we will roll the credits over for you.
