New home, same iglu 🧡

Two years ago, we started iglu as a pop-up sauna with the goal to create a warm, welcoming space for everyone to enjoy.

Along the way, and in three unique locations, we’ve learned so much - partly that we do, ultimately, want a permanent home, but also that the atmosphere of connection and care isn’t tied to one location. It's built by our incredible team and guests.

A new chapter

We love our current location off the Cuckoo Steps, but due to restrictions on the land that are beyond our control, our time here has come to an end and we will be moving at the end of November.

We have been searching high and low, across our magical valleys and hills, for the right space: somewhere beautiful, with parking, in nature, easy access, within walking distance of Hebden Bridge and enough space. Although we couldn’t tick every box, we’re delighted to share our next location with you.

Introducing: iglu at The New Delight Pub, Blackshaw Head

From the end of November, we will be at The New Delight pub in Blackshaw Head, a gorgeous countryside pub on the hill-side, with a beautiful campsite and a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere, just five minutes from the Jack Bridge swimming spot on the Colden River.

We are really excited to see how it goes at the New Delight - that said, we are still open to suggestions for locations closer to Hebden over the longer term.

What to expect at The New Delight

Most things will remain the same - there’ll be two wood-fired saunas, three cold plunge pools and an ambient bath, changing rooms, a toilet, outdoor warm and cold showers, lockers, cubby holes, special sessions, the usual add-ons, the lovely, community-focused vibe and an extremely warm welcome.

And what’s new?

• More space for relaxation including a heated bell tent and firepit

• Onsite parking (hurrah!)

• A peaceful hillside setting

• We're exploring joint packages with the pub to make the experience even better

How to get there

It’s just a 10-minute drive from the centre of Hebden Bridge, or there is a regular bus (the 596) that takes 15 minutes and stops right outside. The walk is also lovely and forms part of the Pennine Way - along the river and through the trees - it takes about an hour.

There is parking on-site.

Important dates

Our last session at High Street will be on Sunday 23 November, and we will be reopening at the New Delight by Saturday 29 November. Look out for updates in your inbox as we will let you know more details over the next couple of weeks.

What if I've already booked for Saturday 29 November onwards?

We will move your booking to the new location, you don't need to do anything, and we'll be in touch with anyone who has made a booking already with practical information - including the new address.

We think you'll love the new spot - but if you've made a booking prior to this announcement and would like to cancel your booking, let us know and we will be happy to assist you.

How do I book?

As normal, you can book your session on our website. If you’d like to make a private booking for one or both saunas, we can now arrange this, up to and including February 2026. We will be announcing opening times for the Christmas period (between 20 Dec and 2 January 2026) soon.
