We are hiring for sauna hosts

Calling sauna enthusiasts! Would you like to join the iglu sauna team? We are hiring for sauna hosts at both our locations:

• The New Delight Inn, Smithy Ln, Blackshaw Head, Hebden Bridge, HX7 7HT.

• Upper Mills, Slaithwaite, Huddersfield, HD7 5HA

The role requires you to have excellent customer service skills, with high standards for the environment you maintain, enjoying cleaning and manual tasks. The role will sometimes be on your own and sometimes with another person.

The roles can be part time or potentially full time. As the Slaithwaite sauna is pop-up, the role will initially be temporary for 2-3 months, though there is a good chance that it will become long term. Shifts are mainly on weekends, and we will do our best to accommodate your other commitments.

There's often opportunity to get involved beyond regular hosting - we're a small team that has a tenacious excitement for the future of the sauna community.

Main responsibilities: 

• Welcoming, checking in and looking after sauna guests throughout their session

• Operating equipment - e.g. sauna stoves, plunge pool filters and chillers

• Cleaning saunas and other equipment

• Tasks such as preparing salt scrubs, organising, conducting a stock take

• Contributing to the team chat and sharing handover notes on WhatsApp

Core requirements

• You will have a strong interest in saunas / cold plunge/ hot and cold therapy

• You will be friendly and approachable

• You will be proactive, always maintaining high standards

• You will have excellent attention to detail and enjoy cleaning and physical tasks

• You will be comfortable being responsible for the site and guests

Desirable requirements

• Use of a car or van

• First aid certificate

• Practical/ DIY and/ or decorative skills

• Job type: Casual 

• Comprehensive training and supportive team

• Hours: 12 to 40 per week 

• Weekend work predominantly

• Pay after training: £15.02 an hour (inclusive of rolled up holiday pay)

• Free sauna sessions for staff
