Possibly our favourite night of the month, the iglu book club continues into the new year and we're excited to share the upcoming dates and book titles for February, March, and April 2026, just in time to add to your Christmas list! Please note, all upcoming book club sessions from January - April will be taking place at The New Delight Inn, Smithy Ln, Blackshaw Head, Hebden Bridge HX7 7HT.

What does iglu book club involve?

It's like a 'normal' book club - but in the sauna! Chat about the chosen book of the month with fellow book-enthusiasts, while moving through the relaxing hot/cold sauna cycle.

Afterwards, sit back and relax by the fire pit or the bell-tent, where you can continue the conversation over a hot drink and delicious cookies or a slice of cake.

The sessions will be guided by author of Kingfisher and former iglu sauna host, Rozie Kelly.

If you want to come but don't have time to finish the book, don't worry! Whether you are an avid reader or just love a good chat, this is a welcoming space for all.

The books for February, March and April are:

Thursday 5 February 2026:The City and Its Uncertain Walls by Haruki Murakami

This mystical novel follows a man who’s drawn to a past connection, exploring memory, longing, and the invisible and visible walls that shape our lives.

Thursday 5 March 2026: American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins

This gripping novel follows Lydia and her son as they flee cartel violence in Mexico, and raises questions of identity, privilege, trauma and survival.

Thursday 9th April 2026: Another Brooklyn by Jacqueline Woodson.

This beautiful, heart wrenching novel follows four girls - August, Sylvia, Glynnis and Angela growing up in 1970s Brooklyn. It’s a story about friendship, memory and growing up. As childhood turns to adulthood, the novel captures the beauty and pain of becoming, and how places and people make a difference to who we are.

How to book

You can book your place for the next three sessions in one by clicking on the programmes tab on the booking page. This adds a slight discount from booking the sessions individually.

We hope you can sign up for all three, but if not, there’s also an option to book individually too. Just find the specific date you wish to book and choose the book club session on the calendar.

Once you have signed up, either pick the books up at the library or purchase them via World of Books (links above). We can't wait to see you soon!
